A little bit about us

Since 2000, we have worked in close collaboration with Network Rail and a range of Principal and Framework Contractors to deliver a diverse portfolio of Rail and Extra High Voltage (EHV) infrastructure projects. Leveraging a comprehensive suite of in-house engineering, construction, and project delivery capabilities, we have successfully supported the delivery of numerous complex, safety-critical schemes across the rail and wider utilities infrastructure network.

Safety is at the heart of everything we do. We operate a robust Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) management system fully aligned with Network Rail standards and industry best practice. We are committed to the continuous improvement of our safety culture through visible leadership, active workforce engagement, and proactive risk management, ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of works on and around the operational railway. All works are supported by our electronic reporting system, providing real-time tracking, accurate data capture, and full auditable records to support project delivery and assurance requirements.

Ethical Standards

Greenway is committed to acting, at all times, with integrity, avoiding conflicts of interest, and upholding professional values and obligations. We strive to:

  • Be objective in all decisions and actions

  • Act honourably and with integrity

  • Understand our limitations and operate within them

  • Treat all colleagues, clients, and stakeholders with respect

  • Maintain the confidentiality of client and project information

  • Conduct our dealings with openness and transparency

  • Be accountable for all actions and decisions

  • Proactively act where there is a perceived risk to safety or potential malpractice

Health and Safety

If it’s not safe, we don’t do it — it’s as simple as that.

We place the highest priority on providing working environments that are safe and risk-free for all our employees, contractors, clients, and members of the public.

Regular site audits are carried out to ensure compliance with current legislative requirements and to support our clients in maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel. All works and audits are recorded using our electronic reporting system, providing real-time tracking, accurate data capture, and fully auditable records to support safety assurance and project reporting.

Employees are actively encouraged to report any safety concerns, ensuring lessons are learned directly from our people on the ground.

Partnerships

We recognise that it is our clients’ expectation that Greenway delivers a consistently high level of service. To ensure our commitments are realised, we actively engage with clients and Framework Partners, communicate effectively, and monitor our performance through the setting of measurable targets and ongoing reviews, working together with our clients for longevity.

A key component of our quality management procedures is the continuity and consistency of our workforce. We also maintain robust planning, construction, and documentation processes, ensuring that all works are carefully coordinated, fully compliant, and clearly recorded to support project delivery, audit requirements, and client assurance.

Training and Development

Training is fundamental to improving workforce performance, increasing retention, and significantly contributing to Health and Safety.

It is also a key factor in developing a flexible, multi-skilled workforce capable of adapting to the evolving requirements of rail and infrastructure projects.

The training needs of all operatives are continually reviewed, and employees are actively encouraged to progress within the company. All operatives hold the relevant certification for the tasks they perform, and any additional training requirements are identified and delivered through approved, registered training providers to ensure compliance, competence, and the highest standards of performance.
